Folks,
ISSUE
========
* Required to configure Oracle Designer for each student in my class.
* Each student needs to have their own profile.
QUESTION
=============
* What is a best practice to implement the above?
* I would like to take advantage of Oracle using Active Directory...
BACKGROUND
===============
* Each machine is windows based
* One database server
* Each student has access to all machines with a floating Windows Profile.
* Every semester I will have a class
Please advise urgently...
Thanks -- Seethem

I would go for two images:
1) prepare the database side: set up the repo & create users STUDENT1 - STUDENTn.
Create a full back up of that
2) configure a single student machine and create an image of that
At the start of each year, restore the server and roll-out the student images on all student-machines.

Hi Frank,
Thanks!
However, the way the system is set up, is such that the student logs into the database using there "firstname.lastname" as the username. I would therefore like to incorporate AD in the design to facilitate this ease of Oracle Designer Log in.
Can you explain what you mean by "configure a single student machine"?
I would truly appreciate high level details...
Thanks -- Phillip
